I was setting my new blog on my old hosting provider. Bad luck for me, they still use the 2.7 versions of WordPress.

It is a great release for those willing to look whats in code I have to say that most people who simply want blogging platform to share ideas – will not see that big of a difference.

I’ve helped a few friends upgrade their 2.x blogs to WordPress 3.0. Not a single problem so far, knock on wood…

I did a clean install for myself on my test server and it performs really nicely. No extensions or plugins or anything. I’m currently designing my own theme 100% from scratch in Notepad++ so that’s a lot of fun. =)

Actually, it is indeed better to hold off upgrading on critical systems, therefor, on my other blog, I haven’t yet upgraded to WP3.0
