Upgrading seemed to go pretty easily for me, going to do a more thorough write up for it on Sunday.
Same here, the upgrade went flawless!
Seems like some pretty good changes have been made but as always I’ll hold off on updating for a little while. You never know…
Actually, it is indeed better to hold off upgrading on critical systems, therefor, on my other blog, I haven’t yet upgraded to WP3.0
I’ve helped a few friends upgrade their 2.x blogs to WordPress 3.0. Not a single problem so far, knock on wood…
I did a clean install for myself on my test server and it performs really nicely. No extensions or plugins or anything. I’m currently designing my own theme 100% from scratch in Notepad++ so that’s a lot of fun. =)
Yeah, I’m pretty pleased with 3.0 too. Good luck on your new theme, looking forward to seeing it!
It is a great release for those willing to look whats in code
I have to say that most people who simply want blogging platform to share ideas – will not see that big of a difference.
I was setting my new blog on my old hosting provider. Bad luck for me, they still use the 2.7 versions of WordPress.
