Well, that is indeed one of the disadvantages of jailbreaking your iPhone, the crashing sprinboard. In my experience, this only happens when switching between some apps, not always. Some apps make springboard crash when switching to them, others don’t.

no really, when i enable the multitasking the way you provided above, i did it through ifile.But when I double click the home button to switch between two apps, I click it then the app shows that its been clicked because it gets dim, but then my entire springboard restarts into safe mode.
This keeps happening whenever I try to multitask.

How exactly do you expect the switching to work? When multitasking is enabled, you can doubleclick your home-button, and get to the multitasking dock. That does work for you if I understand correctly, right? There you can simply choose between the running applications, so you can switch between them. Do note though, that not all applications support multitasking. So some may seem to “restart” every time you switch over to them. Perhaps that is what’s puzzling you?

Hey thanks for the info, but the multitasking doesnt work on my iphone after I change the text to true in the code, but the wallperdoes when i do it. I am able to launch apps from the multitasking dock, but I am not able to switch between apps. I change the code through ifile,im not sure if thats the problem and thats why its not working.

Yes, there is a very good reason why the explanation here is using a different way… The previous version of Redsn0w didn’t have the boxes yet Only as of version 0.9.5b5-3 these options are available, and thus the file N82AP.plist doesn’t need manual editing anymore!

Why not just tick the little boxes saying “Multitasking” and “Wallpaper” in the redsn0w window?
Or is there a reason you are doing it this way?
